  India has an area of around 1.3 million sq miles, a population of over 1.3 billion, and a history of approximately 30000 years. Hinduism is the predominant religion in the country. There are over 2 million temples, while some famous and accented in gold, others are much more modest. Some are intricately carved, while some are covered with erotic carvings; yet the Taj Mahal, Agra, hogs all the limelight.
